Will it all go back to normal?

In our webinar series, conversations are emerging about the rules of working in the “new normal” whatever it is and whenever it comes.

How do we preserve benefits emerging from the crisis?

The NHS Chief Executive, Sir Simon Stevens, recently wrote in a ‘Dear Colleague letter’ “we should also take this opportunity to ‘lock in’ beneficial changes we’ve collectively brought about in recent weeks.”

Rethinking the future is a massive task as we reimagine and redesign work in ‘new normal’.

Repeatedly we’ve heard pleas not to talk about recovery but reformation and adaptation. No going back, please.

There’s plenty to end and let go of. New ways of relating and working to adopt and adapt in the times ahead (new normal).

As Organisation Design and Development practitioners we know the likelihood of real sustainable change will be enhanced where there is shared reflection and learning.

We need to pause, reflect and learn before we rush into the new.

How are you managing to reflect together? This could be the big strategic differentiator in the coming months and a must for leaders to grip hold of.

Do you share the view of there being ‘no going back’? We will explore further in the next 1 minute read.

If you would like to talk more on this subject please schedule a time to speak.

For now, all the best and I trust you will find the time for team reflection.
